PRIVACY POLICY

Who we are
HireReady (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Canadian software service operated at readyhire.ca. We help trades, construction, and oilfield companies write better job postings using AI. This policy explains how we handle your personal information in compliance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service:
- ·Email address: To create your account, send you results, and communicate with you about your subscription.
- ·Password: Stored as a one-way hash by Supabase Auth — we never see your plaintext password.
- ·Job post content: The job descriptions you submit for optimization. Stored so you can access your history.
- ·Plan and usage data: Which plan you are on, how many runs you have used, and when your runs reset.
- ·Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- ·Usage activity: When you last used the app, so we can send relevant re-engagement emails.
How we use your information
- ✓To provide and improve the HireReady service
- ✓To process your subscription payments through Stripe
- ✓To send transactional emails (run usage alerts, password resets, subscription confirmations)
- ✓To send occasional product update emails — you can unsubscribe at any time
- ✓To analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your job post content to train AI models.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate HireReady:
- ·Supabase: Database and authentication. Your data is stored in their infrastructure.
- ·Anthropic: AI processing. Your job post text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the optimized version. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- ·Stripe: Payment processing. They handle all billing data under their own privacy policy.
- ·Resend: Email delivery. Used to send transactional emails.
- ·Vercel: Hosting. Our application runs on Vercel's infrastructure.
We do not share your data with anyone else.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Job post history is kept indefinitely so you can access past optimizations — you can delete individual posts or your entire account at any time. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, job post history, and email address within 30 days.
Your rights under PIPEDA
As a Canadian resident you have the right to:
- ✓Access the personal information we hold about you
- ✓Correct inaccurate information
- ✓Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data
- ✓Know how your information is being used
You can delete your own account directly from your Account settings page. For any other requests, contact us at privacy@readyhire.ca.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to your profile data is restricted by row-level security — only you and our server can read your data. Payment data never touches our servers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the app if we make material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
